Various manuals and information regarding the Roland System 100m.
A quick and dirty list of all the modules and their purpose:
Module 110 - VCO + VCF + VCA (combo)
Module 112 - two VCOs
Module 121 - two VCFs
Module 130 - two VCAs
Module 131 - four voice mixer
Module 132 - two mixers + CV gen
Module 140 - two EGs + LFO
Module 150 - ring modulation + S&H + LFO
Module 172 - phase shifting + audio delay + LFO + gate delay
Module 182 - step sequencer
A standard 191J configuration is: M112 + M121 + M130 + M140 + M150
Keyboard 181 - monophonic voice control
Keyboard 184 - four voice control + extras (very similar to JP-4)
RYK Modular has created two unique modules adding new features compared to the original counterparts.
M175 - multimode filter far surpassing M172 (not too unlike the System 700's multimode filter)
M185 - a very elaborate step sequencer with dynaminc (and random) gating, along with being able to handle two sequences at once; you can even chain two of them together bringing it from 8 steps to 16 steps. Most of these important features are missing on the official M182 sequencer.
The power cables connecting the module and the base are just standard 8-pin DIN connectors, you can find those cables pretty much anywhere. Synth parts resellers will simply resell these at a higer markup as well.
